Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), operated for the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking a contractor to replace the purge unit on Chiller No. 5 at the Central Utility Building in Batavia, Illinois. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), managed by Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC - OEMs and Vendors: - Trane (OEM for the purge unit, Model PRG00201) - Products/Services Requested: - One Trane Purge Unit, Model PRG00201, for Chiller No. 5 - Removal of the existing defective purge unit - Installation of the new purge unit, including associated piping and valves - Integration with control systems - Leak testing, refrigerant recovery and recharge - System startup and performance monitoring - Submission of required documentation - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must be Trane-certified and able to procure OEM parts - Compliance with DOE, OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI safety and environmental regulations (including 10 CFR 851, 835) - Extensive safety protocols: hazard analyses, training, permits, PPE, and hazardous materials management - Work is performed on-site at Fermilab, with standard hours and prior approval required for work outside those hours - Firm fixed price for the purge unit; time and material pricing for related services - Proposal pricing must remain valid for at least 90 days - Completion defined by full operational status, no leaks, and acceptance of documentation by Fermilab

Description

The Offerors shall provide services to remove, replace, test and return Chiller No. 5 to operational condition at the Central Utility Building (CUB) on Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) campus, in Batavia, Illinois. The Offerors shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and items required to perform these services.
