USDA APHIS Wildlife Services is seeking a contractor to supply and install a high-tensile woven wire predator fence for wolf abatement near Marengo, Ashland County, Wisconsin. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services - Contracting office: MRPBS Minneapolis MN - Products and Materials Requested: - High-tensile woven wire fence mesh (vertical mesh: 75" height; horizontal apron: 42" height) - Wooden posts (pressure treated to specified standards; various types for gates, corners, braces, and line posts) - Class III galvanized steel wire (horizontal, vertical, knot, brace, staples, crimping sleeves, in-line strainers) - Interior electric fence wire (12.5 gauge, high tensile, with insulators, strainers, springs, grounding rods, insulated wiring) - Aluminum jumper wire (12.5 gauge, 430 lb breaking load) - Break-away fence materials for drainage crossings - Livestock panels (50" high, for exclusion from corrals) - Gates (5 total; 6' tall; widths: 12', 16', 20', 30') - Cement for post stabilization - Services Requested: - Complete installation of the predator fence system, including site preparation, post setting, brace assembly, wire and mesh installation, gate and electric fence installation, break-away fence and ditch crossing installation, and livestock panel installation - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Fence must meet detailed material and installation standards (ASTM class III, specified tensile strengths, pressure treatment) - Warranties required from both material suppliers and installers - Contractor must have relevant experience with similar fence work - Project is a Total Small Business Set-Aside - Contractor must start within 5 days of notice and complete within 60 days - Purpose is wolf/livestock conflict abatement - Estimated Contract Value: $25,000 to $100,000 - **No specific OEMs or part numbers are identified in the solicitation or attachments
