DARPA's Biological Technologies Office (BTO) is seeking information from industry, government, and emergency preparedness organizations regarding capabilities for high-fidelity, large-scale mass casualty (MASCAL) medical simulation events. - The RFI focuses on the ability to plan, resource, execute, and assess realistic MASCAL simulations involving more than 50, 100, or 200 simulated patients within a single event lasting less than 72 hours. - Respondents should detail experience with: - Use of moulage, live actors, physiology-enabled manikins, and Class VIII medical consumables - Integration of augmented, virtual, or mixed reality (AR/VR/MR) technologies - Data collection and assessment methods for simulation realism and outcomes - Cost estimates and past performance in similar large-scale simulations - No specific OEMs, vendors, products, or part numbers are listed; this is an information-gathering RFI, not a solicitation or funding opportunity. - The opportunity is open to industry, government support organizations, military training entities, and civilian emergency preparedness groups. - Responses will inform DARPA's planning for potential future research or procurement activities.

Description

The Biological Technologies Office (BTO) of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency(DARPA) seeks input from industry, government support organizations, military training organizations, and civilian emergency preparedness entities regarding capabilities to plan, resource, execute, and assess high-fidelity, large-scale mass casualty (MASCAL) medical simulation events. This Request for Information (RFI) is a preliminary step to assess current capabilities to conduct realistic MASCAL simulations involving greater than 50, 100, or 200 simulated patients within a single event lasting less than 72 hours. This RFI is solely for information gathering and planning purposes. It does not constitute a solicitation for proposals, abstracts, or quotations nor indicate an intent to fund those who respond.
