The Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) is seeking independent individuals to provide home care assistance services for its MassAbility division: - Government Buyer: - Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC), MassAbility division - Managed by the MRC Contracts Department in Boston, MA - Products/Services Requested: - Home Care Assistant services provided by independent (individual) contractors - Services are delivered under the Home Care Assistance Program - Individuals are selected by MRC consumers and work under their direction - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only individuals (not organizations) may apply - Applicants must be registered in the COMMBUYS system before contract execution - Manual submissions are permitted with justification - No OEMs or commercial vendors are specified, as this is a solicitation for individual service providers - Place of Performance: - Services are coordinated through the MRC in Boston, MA, but performed at consumer residences as directed

Description

This solicitation is for independent (individual) care providers who are selected by MRC consumers, and not for organizations. The Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission Home Care Assistance Program allows eligible individuals to select and direct their own service provider, known as a Home Care Assistant. Home Care Assistants are considered independent contractors who work under the direction of the eligible consumer. Responses may be submitted manually if justified, but all vendors must be registered in COMMBUYS prior to contract execution.
