Description
The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Diamond Aircraft Industries Inc. Model DA20-C1 airplanes. This AD is prompted by a report of an emergency locator transmitter (ELT) not activating due to a missing jumper wire. The directive requires a continuity inspection of the D-sub connector of the Artex ELT 1000 and corrective actions if necessary. The purpose is to address the unsafe condition that could prevent the ELT beacon and aural alert buzzer from activating in the event of an accident.
