The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive aquatic weed control services at Reelfoot Lake in Tiptonville, Tennessee. - Government Buyer: - Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), Wildlife Resources Office - Products and Services Requested: - Application of aquatic herbicides to control invasive macrophytes (Curly-leafed pondweed, Pennywort, Frogs bit, Loosestrife, and others) - Herbicides specified include: - Monopotassium salt of glyphosate (e.g., Refuge or equivalent) - Isopropylamine salt of imazapyr (e.g., Habitat or equivalent) - Nonionic surfactant methylated seed oil (e.g., SunEnergy or equivalent) - 2,4-D (Dimethylamine Salt of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic Acid) - Diquat (diquat dibromide) - Copper (used in combination with Diquat) - Endothall (used in combination with Diquat) - Estimated annual treatment area: approximately 700 acres - Application methods: airboats, surface drive boats, and drones (drones must be Blue List or NDAA compliant) - Product Line Items (examples): - 550 acres: 1.5 gallons Diquat with 3 gallons copper per acre (Curly-leafed pondweed) - 80 acres: 1.5 gallons Diquat with 1 gallon Endothall per acre (Curly-leafed pondweed, no copper) - 80 acres: 2,4-D + surfactant per acre (Pennywort, Frogs bit, Loosestrife) - 350 acres: Glyphosate and other herbicides per acre (Pennywort, Frogs bit, Loosestrife) - 105 acres: Miscellaneous species not otherwise identified - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Minimum of five certified applicators and an on-staff botanist with an M.S. degree - Contractor must have experience with large-scale aquatic herbicide applications and contracts exceeding $200,000 - All chemicals must be U.S. EPA-approved for aquatic use - Drones must comply with FAA and NDAA requirements - Treatment period limited to 24 days per year, with a minimum of 30 acres treated per day - Place of Performance: - Reelfoot Lake, 3895 State Route 21E, Tiptonville, TN 38079
