Description
This Invitation for Bid (IFB) titled 25-E0032 Water Sampling Services seeks contractors to produce contamination-controlled, high-volume tap water samples, linked blanks, and complete chain-of-custody records for transfer to an OEHHA-designated laboratory. The project supports California Senate Bill 1147 (Portantino 2024) by establishing a pilot-scale sampling program for microplastics (MPs) in drinking water. The goal is to generate defensible data for OEHHA's human health assessment related to MPs, an emerging contaminant of concern. The contract involves producing contamination-controlled MP sample materials and defensible field documentation to enable reliable downstream characterization inputs for health assessment.
