The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), under the Department of Justice, is seeking vendors to deliver an accredited vocational training program in asphalt milling and paving for adults in custody at the FCC Complex in Yazoo City, Mississippi. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, National Acquisitions - CO - Program Requirements: - Provide instruction in asphalt milling and paving practices - Training must be accredited under the contractor's umbrella - Program must lead to Continuing Education Units (CEUs) upon completion - Hands-on, occupationally relevant training is required, replicating real work environments - Prepares participants for at least entry-level employment in the field upon release - Contractor to supply one qualified Asphalt Paving Instructor - Approximately 15 adults in custody will participate - Course length and hours to be recommended by the contractor - Federal Bureau of Prisons will provide equipment and materials - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - No specific products or part numbers are requested; focus is on educational services - Place of performance is the FCC Complex in Yazoo City, Mississippi

This Request for Information (RFI), 15BNAS26RFI000015, is issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).  The BOP is seeking information from vendors capable of providing instruction in Asphalt milling and paving practices, as part of a sustainability-training program. Successful completion of the training program must qualify adults in-custody (AIC) for at least entry-level employment in a specified field upon release.  The Vocational Training Program must fall under the contractor’s umbrella of accreditation and lead to continuing education units (CEU’s) resulting in successful completion of the Vocational Training Program.  A percentage of the curriculum’s competencies must be hands-on replication of the actual work environment. Application of hands-on work must be occupational in nature. The proposed acquisition is classified under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 611519 – Other Technical and Trade Schools. Product Service (PSC) Code U012-Education/Training-Technical.
