The US Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, and the US Air Force Academy are seeking information from industry for the supply and installation of a comprehensive fire alarm and mass notification system for the new Varsity Baseball Stadium at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. - Government Buyer: - US Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (W071 ENDIST OMAHA) - US Air Force Academy - OEMs and Vendors: - Notifier (specified as preferred brand or equivalent) - Products/Services Requested: - Complete addressable interior fire alarm and mass notification system, including: - Fire alarm and mass notification control units (FMCU) - Notifier brand fire alarm control panels (or equivalent) - Local operating consoles (LOC) - Amplifiers, preamplifiers, tone generators - Manual stations (addressable, double-action) - Smoke, duct smoke, air sampling smoke, heat, flame, multi-criteria, and carbon monoxide detectors - Addressable interface and control modules, isolation modules - Notification appliances (audible, visual, textual) - Textual display signs (LED/LCD) - Electric power supplies (primary and secondary), surge protective devices - Wiring, conduit, terminal cabinets, labeling - Radio transmitter and interface panels - Firefighter telephone communication system - Services: - Design, installation, testing, and training (8-16 hours for government employees) - Qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE) services for review, surveillance, and certification - 10 years of repair service availability - Unique/Notable Requirements: - System must comply with NFPA 72, UFC standards, and UL listings - Non-developmental, Air Force-qualified equipment preferred - Minimal maintenance and repair requirements - Estimated value for fire alarm panels: $5,000 to $50,000 - Project includes both demolition and new construction (approx. 10,000 SF) - All components must be addressable and support mass notification - Place of Performance: - Varsity Baseball Stadium, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado - Contracting office in Omaha, Nebraska
