The U.S. Navy, through NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego, is seeking sources for the rental of air conditioning units with integrated heaters and electric space heaters to support berthing and messing barges in San Diego, CA. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego - Berthing and Messing Barge Regional Program Manager - Products/Services Requested: - Rental of 18 each 1-ton air conditioning units with integrated heaters - Electrically powered (120V), air-cooled, minimum 13,000 BTU/hr heating and cooling, 30-degree temperature drop, continuous 24/7 operation - Rental of 21 each 1.5kw electric space heaters - 5,000 BTU heat at 100 CFM, electrically powered (120V), continuous 24/7 operation - Delivery, installation, preventative maintenance, repair/replacement for normal wear and tear, monthly maintenance reports, and equipment removal at contract end - Contractor must respond to service requests within 4 hours and replace failed air conditioners within 12 hours at no additional charge - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All equipment must be suitable for continuous operation onboard naval barges - Contractor responsible for compliance with base security and handling requirements - Delivery to multiple federal and military facilities in San Diego - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Locations: - Naval Base San Diego - Naval Air Station North Island - Sub Base Point Loma - BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair - General Dynamics NASSCO - Continental Maritime of San Diego (CMSD)

Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, San Diego (FLCSD) is conducting a market survey (MS) to identify interested and capable businesses, stimulate industry awareness and, gain feedback to improve the acquisition environment/process. Firms possessing the capabilities to perform the tasking described in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) and information below are encouraged to respond. This is not a solicitation announcement. This notice is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not award any contract based on the information received from this notice. The government will utilize information received from this notice to assist in acquisition planning and identifying small businesses’ capabilities. The Government reserves the right to consider a set-aside for small businesses or one of the small business socioeconomic contracting programs (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB), and women-owned small business (WOSB) including economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSB)).

1. The contractor will be tasked to accomplish the work as specified in Attachment 1, Performance Work Statement (PWS). This work includes the contractor to provide rental Air Conditioning (A/C) units with integrated heaters and supplementary space heaters for use onboard various Berthing and Messing Barges in support of naval operations in San Diego, CA. 2. The Government anticipates this effort to be a Firm Fixed Price type contract with a twelve (12) month period of performance This is a new requirement in support of the Berthing and Messing Barge Program in San Diego. 3. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532490.
