Description

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is seeking industry feedback on a Point of Sale (POS) system for inmate canteen services across approximately 40 institutions with 93 inmate canteens. The project aims to modernize the current POS system by implementing a fully integrated, network-connected solution that integrates RFID-enabled smartcards for identification and payment, provides secure interfaces with the Inmate Accounting System Replacement (IASR), modernizes hardware and software, enables national reporting and inventory management, reduces manual workload, enhances data security, and supports offender accountability. This is a Request for Information (RFI) and does not constitute a commitment to issue a subsequent solicitation or contract.
