NIST is seeking sources for two superconducting magnet power supplies to support its research operations: - Government Buyer: - National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) - NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) - Products/Quantities: - Two (2) superconducting magnet power supplies - Must provide at least 5 V output voltage and ±120 A current - Bipolar operation and floating leads required - Stability within ±3 mA at 120 A - Persistent switch heater (max 5 V, 100 mA) - Must be compatible with existing 9T and 10T superconducting magnets without voiding warranties - Configured for 125 Volt/1-phase/15 Amp service with NEMA 5-15 plug - Includes hard and electronic instruction manuals - Notable Requirements: - Commercial off-the-shelf or modified products are acceptable - Compatibility with existing superconducting magnets is mandatory - Suppliers must demonstrate how their products meet all technical specifications - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Place of Performance: - NIST Center for Neutron Research, Gaithersburg, MD
