Elections Canada, an independent federal agency, is seeking information from suppliers about their ability to support large-scale electoral operations across Canada with IT equipment, software, telecommunications, secure storage, and logistics services. - Government Buyer: - Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (Elections Canada) - Federal agency responsible for electoral operations - Products and Quantities: - 19,000 computers, laptops, and tablets - 1,700 networking devices - 1,500 printers (with ink) - 5,000 internet access points (LTE, satellite, cellular, or wireline) - 88,000 accessories (scanners, computer bags, monitors, charging stations, etc.) - 35,000 consumable items (patch cables, headsets, printer toner, power bars, etc.) - Services Requested: - Software licensing and management (operating systems, firewall, anti-virus, PDF, office productivity software) - Secure storage and warehousing (including handling of Protected B information) - IT support and technical services (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance) - Rapid deployment and logistics (packaging, assembly, shipping, tracking, delivery, reverse logistics, asset verification) - Telecommunications services (internet, cellular, satellite, VoIP, softphone) - Unique Requirements: - Rapid deployment within 3 days of election announcement - Support for 500+ offices and 15,000 polling sites, including remote and northern regions - Secure handling of sensitive and Protected B information - Short-term, high-volume use of equipment and software (typically 1-2 months per event) - Readiness for unpredictable electoral events and scalable, reliable logistics - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or brands are named in the RFI - Suppliers may respond to any or all service areas; end-to-end solutions are not required
Description
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (OCEO), known as Elections Canada, seeks information from suppliers regarding their capabilities to supply and support Electoral Districts across Canada with IT equipment, services, and related supports during elections. The requirement includes IT equipment supply, software, secure storage/warehousing, IT support, rapid deployment of equipment, telecommunications services, and logistics services including packaging and tracking of materials. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather feedback on these service areas to inform future procurement strategies. The contract duration is estimated at 60 months.
