The program supports national legislation and operationalization of real-time funding for health emergencies, establishment of a national border health program, and expansion of the National Integrated Surveillance System (NISS). The funding is provided through cooperative agreements to eligible applicants to enhance multi-sectoral preparedness in line with Uganda's National Action Plan for Health Security.
