This opportunity seeks qualified construction subcontractors for underground concrete work supporting the Department of Energy's LBNF/DUNE-US project at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), via Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) and Fermi Forward Discovery Group LLC (FFDG) - Procurement managed by Fermilab and FFDG Construction Management Office - Products/Services Requested: - Construction and installation of 32 concrete housekeeping pads of various sizes and locations underground - Construction and installation of 2 fire curtain walls, including fireproofing and utility sleeves - Demolition work, new concrete slab and rail installation, and installation of a modified sheave beam - Preparation and submission of site-specific Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans - Project schedule development, daily and monthly reporting, and ongoing progress meetings - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Davis-Bacon Act wage determinations - Strict adherence to DOE and OSHA safety protocols, including site-specific ESH and QA/QC plans - Materials and equipment must be transported via the Ross Shaft with size and weight constraints - Evidence of past experience, safety, and quality assurance programs required - Substantial completion and final acceptance milestones specified - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product part numbers are named in the solicitation - Place of Performance: - Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF), including Ross Shaft and Ross Yard, Lead, South Dakota - Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory contracting office, Batavia, Illinois - Delivery and site access at 168 Ross Road, Lead, SD 57754 - Contract Structure: - Firm fixed price contract with a period of performance of approximately 10 months - Flexible scheduling coordinated with other onsite activities

Description

Fermi Forward Discovery Group LLC (FFDG) requests a proposal for the Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (LBNF/DUNE-US) Concrete Project in accordance with this RFP and the enclosed Proposal Preparation Instructions and other enclosures.

Construction work at the SURF Underground Chambers located in Lead South Dakota consisting of demolition work, new concrete/rail installation and installation of the modified sheave beam.
