Description

The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Transferred Frequency Response (TFR) to comply with Alberta and North American electric reliability standards. AESO seeks to purchase up to 50MW/0.1Hz of TFR capability to meet its frequency response obligation for the term December 1, 2026 to November 30, 2027. The agreement terms will be governed by the Transferred Frequency Response Agreement included in the RFP. AESO intends to execute one or more agreements based on proponents' capability and pricing.
