1. Description of Requirement

The 65th Contracting Flight, at Lajes Field, Portugal, is seeking industry feedback on a draft solicitation and Performance Work Statement (PWS), for Portuguese Civilian Employee Insurance Coverage. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, and services to furnish comprehensive insurance coverage as required by Portuguese law and the attached PWS.

This includes, but is not limited to, coverage for:

Job-related accidents and injuries. Accidents, injuries, or unexpected illnesses for employees in a Temporary Duty (TDY) status.

The contractor will assume total liability for these events for all Portuguese civilian employees of the United States Forces Azores (USFORAZORES), including those from both Appropriated Fund (APF) and Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) activities.

2. Purpose of this Notice

This is a special notice. The purpose is to seek industry feedback on the attached draft solicitation and PWS documents, and to provide early awareness of an upcoming requirement prior to the final Request for Quote (RFQ) release. This is not a formal solicitation and does not commit the U.S. Government to award a contract.
