Description
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving a revision to the Indiana State Implementation Plan (SIP) submitted by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). This revision incorporates alternative nitrogen oxides (NOX) emissions monitoring, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements for new and existing large non-Electric Generating Units (non-EGUs) affected by the NOX SIP Call. The approved alternatives are permissible under Federal rules and aim to maintain compliance with ozone season NOX emissions budgets without changing emission limits. The final rule is effective June 15, 2026.
