This notice announces that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 has determined the Cleveland, Ohio nonattainment area has met the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). - Government Buyer: - Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 5 - Geographic Scope: - Cleveland, Ohio nonattainment area, including Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit Counties - Key Details: - Determination is based on quality-assured air monitoring data for 2023-2025 - Exceptional events request submitted by Ohio EPA and concurred by EPA - As a result, EPA is suspending requirements for Ohio to submit certain State Implementation Plan (SIP) elements for the Cleveland area - Suspended elements include: attainment demonstrations, Reasonable Available Control Measures (RACM), Reasonable Further Progress (RFP) plans, and contingency measures - Suspension remains in effect as long as the area continues to meet the ozone standard - No products, services, OEMs, or vendors are being procured or mentioned in this notice - This is a regulatory determination, not a procurement opportunity

Description

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is determining that the Cleveland, Ohio nonattainment area has attained the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) based on quality-assured air monitoring data for 2023-2025. This determination relies on an exceptional events request submitted by Ohio EPA and concurred by EPA. As a result, EPA is suspending certain planning requirements related to attainment of the 2015 ozone NAAQS for the Cleveland area as long as the area continues to attain the standard.
