Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is requesting an extension of approval for information collection number 1625-0023 related to Barge Fleeting Facility Records. This collection requires operators of certain barge fleeting facilities to keep records of twice daily inspections of barge moorings and movements of barges and hazardous cargo in and out of a facility. The purpose is to prevent barges from breaking away and drifting uncontrollably in the Lower Mississippi River waterway system. Comments on this request are invited until June 15, 2026.
