The California Department of Transportation, Division of Equipment, is seeking bids for the one-time purchase of three turnkey diesel-fueled paint tender trucks with specialized bodies and equipment. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Transportation, Division of Equipment - Products and Quantities: - Three (3) MC 05358 Paint Tender Bodies, turnkey, mounted on diesel-fueled 6x4, 60,000 lb GVW cab and chassis - Each unit must include: - Freightliner 114 SD chassis (specified in requirements) - Storage for four 275-gallon paint totes - Scorpion II TL2 truck-mounted attenuator - Changeable message sign - Amber flashing lights, warning light bar, and work lights - OEMs and Vendors: - Freightliner (for chassis) - Scorpion II (for truck-mounted attenuator) - Notable Requirements: - Must comply with State of California Specification 05358-230-261 and all included drawings - Delivery required within 300 days after receipt of order (ARO) - Delivery locations: Caltrans Shops in Eureka, Redding, and San Diego - Late delivery penalties apply ($350 per unit per workday, up to 25% of order value) - All-or-none award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder - California small business and veteran preferences apply

Description

This solicitation is a one-time acquisition conducted by the California Department of Transportation, Division of Equipment. It is for the supply of three (3) MC 05358 Tender Body, Paint (Turnkey), Cab and Chassis, diesel fueled, to be provided in accordance with State of California Specification 05358-230-261 and all included drawings. The procurement will be awarded on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all requirements. The bid due date is June 2, 2026, with a public bid opening conducted by conference call.
