Description
This solicitation seeks research and development to produce a quadruped robot and control architecture capable of faster-than-creep gait in deep muddy environments. The goal is to achieve adaptive off-road autonomous locomotion at speed, focusing on robust legged locomotion in challenging muddy terrain. Phase I involves producing preliminary simulation data and proposing a physical robot design, while Phase II requires a physical demonstration of the robot traversing deep mud at a specified speed. The project aims to advance control methods and robot design to overcome challenges such as suction effects and terrain variability in mud.
