This opportunity concerns the planned sole source procurement for upgrading elevator control systems at the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal. - The U.S. Department of State (OBO) intends to contract Continental Associates Pvt. Ltd for this work. - The project covers two OTIS GEN2 traction elevators (GMMS 3361 and GMMS 3362) at the Chancery building. - Scope includes: - Removal of obsolete elevator control components - Installation of new controllers (GECB EN Controller, CA 26800LC2 or equivalent), drives (OVF R03B-404, KDA 21310ABL2 or equivalent), SPBC II Communication Boards (GAA 26800 NB or equivalent), and 326VA Control Transformers - Restoration of OBO-mandated security features (T17 Night Shutdown and Capture Operations) - System integration, programming, testing, commissioning, and training of Embassy Facility Management staff - The OEM for the elevators is OTIS; equivalent parts are acceptable. - Interested vendors capable of providing these goods and services may respond, though the intent is to award sole source. - All work will be performed at the U.S. Embassy Kathmandu, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Notice of Intent to Sole Source – Continental Associates Pvt. Ltd, Kathmandu, Nepal for elevator control system upgrade goods & services.
The US Embassy, Kathmandu intends to negotiate a sole source in accordance with RFO 12.102(a) for elevator control system upgrade goods & services. The Embassy operates two (2) OTIS GEN2 traction elevators (GMMS 3361 and 3362) installed in December 2005 at the Chancery building. OBO-mandated security features (T17 Night Shutdown and Capture Operations) are currently non-functional and must be restored. Additionally, the elevator control system requires upgrading to ensure continued safe and secure operations.
