Orlando VA Medical Center Pharmacy Hazardous Mixing Room Upgrade – Construction and Cleanroom Equipment

The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting construction and renovation services to upgrade the hazardous mixing room and related pharmacy spaces at the Orlando VA Medical Center, Lake Baldwin Campus. - Scope of Work: - Renovation and remodeling of approximately 850–900 square feet, including Mixing Room 235, IV Prep Room 235C, Ante Room 235B, and Chemo Prep Room 235A - Full compliance with USP Pharmaceutical Compounding Sterile Preparations and USP Hazardous Drugs Handling in Healthcare Settings, as well as FDA cGMP standards - Includes demolition, asbestos abatement, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and integration with existing infrastructure - Installation of a turnkey mobile compounding pharmacy trailer (temporary), compliant with USP , , and FDA cGMP, to maintain pharmacy operations during renovation - Installation of specialized cleanroom windows, sliding automatic entrances, pass windows, wall and door protection, metal casework, wet-pipe sprinkler systems, and resinous flooring - Key OEMs and Products: - ASSA ABLOY: Besam SL500 Clean Room Automatic Sliding Entrances - Sherwin-Williams: High performance epoxy and urethane resinous flooring - Terra Universal, Inc.: BioSafe Framed Stainless Steel Cleanroom Windows - Bradley: Thermostatic Mixing Valve (model S59-4007) - Additional Notable Equipment: - Class II Type A Biosafety Cabinets (model BBF-3SSRX) - Vertical Laminar Flow Hoods (models BVBI-3SSRX, BVBI-4SSRX) - Fan Filter Units (model FFU-RSR) - Medical Gas Zone Valve Box (model ZVB3-BBD-ENG) - Medical Gas Alarm Panel (model M3-A10-OAV) - Variable capacity 11-ton HVAC Air Handling Units - Unique Requirements: - Strict adherence to safety, quality control, environmental, and commissioning procedures - Temporary mobile pharmacy trailer must be certified for compliance and remain operational until the renovated pharmacy is ready - Project is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8), Orlando VA Healthcare System - Place of Performance: - Orlando VA Medical Center, Lake Baldwin Campus, 5201 Raymond St., Orlando, FL 32803

Description

This project will provide construction services necessary for completion for operation as described herein and other specific tasks as further defined by this Request for Quote (RFQ).  All proposals are to provide for design & construction services for this project. The Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center (OVAMC) located at Lake Baldwin Campus 5201 Raymond St., Orlando requires the Pharmacy spaces; Mixing room 235, IV Prep room 235C, Ante room 235B and Chemo prep room 235A to be designed and fully renovated in compliance with Chapter 797 Pharmaceutical Compounding Sterile preparations and Section 800 Hazardous Drugs handling in Healthcare Setting. Project’s area is approximately 850 SF for remodeling.
