NOAA's National Weather Service is seeking a contractor to remove and replace the metal roof at its Weather Forecast Office in Melbourne, FL. - Government Buyer: - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office (WFO) Melbourne, FL - Products and Services Requested: - Removal of existing standing seam metal roof and installation of new baked enamel standing seam metal roof panels on both the main office and generator building - Roof panels must meet UL 263 Fire Resistant Rating, UL2218 Class 5 Hail Resistant Rating, ASTM E1592 Class 90 157 mph Wind Rating, ASTM E-1680 Air Penetration, ASTM E-1646 Water Infiltration, minimum 24-gage thickness, 16-inch seam spacing maximum, and green color matching existing roof - Roof system must withstand Category 5 hurricane conditions - Installation of new moisture barrier, drip edging, z-bar flashing, flashing at penetrations, caulking of parapet wall flashing, and four downspouts - Modification and certification of the existing lightning protection system to meet current NFPA Code and UL certification - Site cleanup and restoration, including repair of any contractor-caused damage - Removal and compliant disposal (including recycling) of old roofing and debris - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Roofing materials must comply with specific UL and ASTM standards and local building codes - Manufacturer warranty authorization required - Compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards - Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements apply - Payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit required for quotes over $35,000 - Small business set-aside under NAICS 238160 - All work must be completed within 60 days from Notice to Proceed, with work to begin within 5 business days - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.Solicitation number 1305M326Q0203 is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the removal and provision and installation of a metal roof in Melbourne, FL.This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 238160. The small business size standard is $19.0M. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference.
