Description

The County of Lexington is seeking sealed proposals for a qualified, licensed, and NSPIRE-certified Residential Rehabilitation Building Inspector. The inspector will perform comprehensive physical inspections for the County's federal housing portfolio, including Tenant-Based Rental Assistance, homebuyer assistance, and residential rehabilitation programs funded by HUD through CDBG and HOME funding. The scope includes examining critical home components, prioritizing health and safety deficiencies, verifying compliance with affirmative requirements, preparing work write-ups, ensuring lead-based paint compliance, and lifecycle monitoring of rehabilitation projects. The contract work volume is estimated at 50 residential inspections annually, issued on an as-needed basis.
