Description

NSMRL’s audio booth warrants recertification and equipment calibration to maintain industry standards, to ensure compliant, precise results for upcoming audiometry-related efforts. As a  result, the laboratory needs to upgrade its audiology booth used to facilitate upcoming studies.  NSMRL leverages its onsite audiology equipment to develop, test, and evaluate underwater noise  systems that measure high-noise levels in operational environments, monitor the effects of noise  exposure on personnel hearing, and investigate the range and limits of underwater hearing, among  other efforts.

The procurement, for updated equipment/the audio booth itself will be coordinated with the  respective contractor. Following the installation and calibration of equipment, the contractor will  provide an electronic copy/documentation of these completed services/efforts, detailing the results of the calibrations and certification to NSMRL.
