Description
This program aims to increase the recruitment of qualified candidates from priority geographic areas in Colombia that are critical due to high levels of coca production, narcotrafficking, and child recruitment by criminal organizations. It supports the recruitment and training of approximately 1,000 Colombian National Police (CNP) students per year, including 600 non-commissioned officers and 400 commissioned officers. The program provides scholarship support through a structured financial management system with electronic funds transfers to recipients or service providers. The initiative seeks to build a more capable police force to disrupt criminal networks, reduce illicit drug flow, and promote stability in the Western Hemisphere.
