Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters within an 800-foot radius of a fireworks barge in the Laguna Madre near South Padre Island, TX. This safety zone is intended to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards associated with a fireworks display. Entry into this zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Corpus Christi, or their designated representative. The safety zone will be enforced from 8 p.m. to midnight on May 16, 2026.
