The Port of Houston Authority is seeking a turnkey solution to retrofit, upgrade, and commission crane cable reel control systems at Barbours Cut and Bayport Container Terminals in Houston, Texas. - Government Buyer: - Port of Houston Authority, Maintenance Department, Container Terminals - Scope of Work: - Turnkey retrofit, upgrade, and commissioning of power cable reel and spreader cable reel control systems for Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes - Removal of obsolete drive equipment and installation of new, current-production drives - Drives must be compatible with existing ABB control systems and designed for continuous industrial operation - Comprehensive engineering, integration, testing, commissioning, and documentation - All labor, supervision, materials, equipment, software, and warranties included - Products/Services Requested: - Power cable reel control systems (retrofit and upgrade) - Spreader cable reel control systems (retrofit and upgrade) - Drive equipment for crane cable reel applications (must support required torque, speed, braking, and control functions; manufacturer support for at least 10 years) - Turnkey engineering, integration, and commissioning services - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Drives must be compatible with ABB control systems - Manufacturer support for new drives must be available for a minimum of 10 years - Respondents must provide safety record data, conflict of interest forms, and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation statements - SBE participation is strongly encouraged - No specific OEMs or vendors are named, but ABB compatibility is required for drive equipment - Place of Performance: - Barbours Cut Terminal, Houston, TX - Bayport Container Terminal, Houston, TX
