The USDA Forest Service, Flathead National Forest, is seeking commercial services for winter boarding and supplemental feeding of government-owned horses and mules near Kalispell, Montana. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, Flathead National Forest - Services Requested: - Winter pasture and boarding for 40-50 government-owned horses and mules (currently 42 head) - Safe, fenced pasture within 200 road miles of Flathead National Forest office - Daily feeding (hay, oats, barley), open water, salt, and supplemental feed for select animals (1-5 head) - Access for Forest Service personnel and loading/unloading facilities for stock trailers - Pricing per head per day or per year; contractor must submit pricing for all items - Product Line Items: - Government Pack and Riding Stock Boarding: estimated 7812 head-days (42 livestock x 186 days) - Supplemental Feeding for up to 5 additional head - Winter Pasture/Boarding for Government-Owned Horses and Mules: approximately 40-50 animals - Unique Requirements: - Services must be performed within 200 miles of Flathead National Forest office in Kalispell, MT - Pasture must be safe and fenced; contractor must provide access and facilities for loading/unloading - Small business set-aside under NAICS code 115210 - Demonstrated technical acceptability and past performance required - Period of Performance: - One-year base period plus four one-year option periods (up to five years total) - Boarding required December through April annually, with possible pasture in November and May depending on conditions - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; this is a service procurement.

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.

Solicitation number 1284LM26Q0067 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) for equine winter boarding and supplemental feeding within 200 miles of the Forest Service Flathead National Forest Office in Kalispell, Montana. 

This acquisition is a small business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 115210. The small business size standard is $11M. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the Agency.
