The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Offices (CWMD) is seeking information from industry regarding rapid multiplex PCR-based or equivalent fieldable detection devices for biological threat agents. - Government Buyer: - Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Offices (CWMD) - Requested Products/Services: - Research and development of a high-throughput, fieldable multiplexed PCR-based or equivalent detection device - Device must process 30 or more samples serially - Must detect and identify five or more biological threat agents within 1 hour or less - Intended for use in field/relevant outdoor environments - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Device must operate rapidly and reliably in outdoor conditions - Respondents should provide information on technology capabilities, detection speed, confidence levels, sample types, environmental parameters, and cost/timeline estimates - Responses should include company information, relevant experience, teaming plans, and proposed period of performance - No specific OEMs, vendors, part numbers, or quantities are named in the solicitation - All technical and procurement details are to be provided by respondents in their submissions
