Comprehensive Employee Occupational Health Testing Services for Chesapeake Public Schools

Chesapeake Public Schools is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive employee occupational health testing services for its staff. - Government Buyer: - Chesapeake Public Schools, School Board of the City of Chesapeake, Purchasing Department - Products/Services Requested: - Pre-employment drug testing for approximately 100 new hires per year (DOT/FMCSA compliant) - Random drug and alcohol testing for about 350 CDL employees (50% random drug, 10% random alcohol rate) - Pre-employment physical examinations (~50/year) and annual physicals (~30/year) with detailed medical testing (urinalysis, pulmonary function, blood profile, chest x-rays, blood lead, audiograms) - Medical Review Officer (MRO) services for drug test result review and compliance - Epidemic, pandemic, and incidental exposure testing (Influenza, COVID-19, Hepatitis A/B, TB, HIV, Ebola) - Additional services: immunizations, tuberculosis testing, respiratory fit testing, and other health screenings as required by federal, state, and local regulations - Notable Requirements: - All services must comply with DOT/FMCSA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations - Vendor must be licensed, insured, and able to provide certified MRO services - Emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely service delivery - Adherence to anti-discrimination policies and minority business enterprise utilization - No specific OEMs or named vendors are identified in the solicitation - Place of Performance: Chesapeake Public Schools Purchasing Department, 1421 Kristina Way, Chesapeake, VA 23320 - Contract term: From award through July 30, 2027, with four one-year extension options

Description

The district is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to provide comprehensive employee occupational health testing services. The services include pre-employment screenings, drug and alcohol testing, physical examinations, immunizations, tuberculosis (TB) testing, respiratory fit testing, and other services as required by federal, state, and local regulations. The goal is to establish a contract with a provider capable of delivering reliable, timely, and compliant health screening and testing services to support a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
