SUNY ESF Ranger School Fire Alarm System Replacement – GW-FCI E-3 Series Basis

SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry is seeking bids for a comprehensive fire alarm system replacement at the Ranger School Main Building and associated facilities in Wanakena, NY. - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY), College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), Facilities Planning, Design and Construction, Division of Sustainable Facilities and Operations - OEMs and Vendors: - GW-FCI (Gamewell-FCI) – E-3 Series fire alarm panel specified as basis of design - Honeywell – E3 Series components referenced in design documents - Beardsley Architects + Engineers – project designer/technical contact - Products/Services Requested: - Complete removal and replacement of the fire alarm system in the Ranger School Main Building - Includes installation of new fire alarm control unit (FACU), notification appliances (audio/visual, visual only, audio only), smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pull stations, addressable monitor modules, carbon monoxide detectors, annunciator panels, and related cabling/conduit - Integration with existing sprinkler system flow and valve supervisory devices - Installation of notification devices in the Director’s House and Maintenance Building - Reuse of existing wiring and devices where feasible until full replacement - No voice evacuation or radio alarm transmitter (RAT) required - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Basis of design is the GW-FCI E-3 fire alarm panel, but alternatives may be considered if compatible with existing devices - Project must maintain inter-building connections and phased device replacement - MWBE and SDVOB participation goals: 3% MBE, 3% WBE, 1.5% SDVOB - Prevailing wage requirements apply - Contract duration is 180 days from award - Locations: - Ranger School, 257 Ranger School Rd., Wanakena, NY (main place of performance) - Maintenance Building and Director’s House at Ranger School campus - Contracting office: College of Environmental Science and Forestry, 1 Forestry Drive, Syracuse, NY

This solicitation is for the removal and replacement of the fire alarm system in the Ranger School Main Building, utilizing existing wiring. The project includes notification devices in the Director’s House and Maintenance building, as well as the installation of additional fixtures in the main building.
