Military Sealift Command Norfolk is seeking proposals for a 180-day dry cargo time charter, with an option for an additional 180 days, for up to two roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) vessels to support U.S. Marine Corps missions in the Western Pacific. - Government Buyer: - Military Sealift Command Headquarters (MSC HQS) Norfolk, Strategic Sealift Program Support Office (N103A) - Contracting Officer: Christopher Tomlin - Products/Services Requested: - Up to two U.S. or foreign flag RO/RO vessels - Each vessel must have slewing or fixed ramps - Capable of transporting MV22 aircraft - Minimum cargo capacity: 20,000 sq ft per vessel (total requirement: 40,000 sq ft rolling stock/general cargo) - Capable of 21 days without resupply, 10 knots speed loaded, and 5,000 nautical miles transit - Berthing and meals for 2 Sponsor personnel per vessel - Ramp system for port-to-port RO/RO operations - NAVAIR certification for MV22 transport - Delivery and redelivery at Naha, Okinawa, Japan - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Vessels must be certified for MV22 aircraft transport (NAVAIR certification) - Must operate for 21 days without resupply - Option to extend services up to 6 months, total contract duration not exceeding 360 days - Procurement is unrestricted and open to both U.S. and foreign flag vessels - Place of Performance: - Delivery and redelivery at Naha, Okinawa, Japan - Contracting office at Military Sealift Command Norfolk, Naval Station Norfolk, VA
