The U.S. Embassy Monrovia is seeking qualified contractors for a comprehensive renovation of the Mezbau residence at the Old Embassy Compound in Monrovia, Liberia. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy Monrovia, Contracting Officer: Femi Akinyemi - Scope of Work: - Complete renovation of the Mezbau Duplex, including: - Conversion of all electrical systems from 120/208V, 60 Hz to 230/400V, 50 Hz - Masonry and carpentry repairs using hard wood, engineered wood, and stainless steel/brass fittings - Plumbing system upgrades with CPVC/PEX water pipes and uPVC/HDPE drainage pipes - Painting of interior and exterior walls with acrylic emulsion and weather-resistant/marine-grade paint - Installation of new air conditioning units compatible with 230V, 50 Hz - Replacement of floor tiles (3,125.8 sq ft for ground floor, 2,746.11 sq ft for upper floor) - Use of high-grade concrete, non-shrink grout, river sand, and other quality materials - Installation of panelboards, breakers, GFCI devices, light fixtures, receptacles, and switches rated for 230/400V, 50 Hz - Use of brass or stainless-steel fixtures for durability - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must visit the site to verify existing conditions before proposal submission - Compliance with International Building Code and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards is mandatory - Performance/payment bonds and insurance are required - Firm fixed price contract estimated between $100,000 and $250,000 - No specific OEMs or brands are mandated; products must meet specified standards and compatibility requirements - All technical specifications and requirements are detailed in the solicitation and attached section drawings
