Carteret County Government is seeking bids for a comprehensive window, storefront door, and curtain wall replacement project at the Carteret County Courthouse and adjacent administrative buildings in Beaufort, North Carolina. - Scope of Work: - Replace 166 fixed pane windows throughout the courthouse and administrative buildings - Replace three single storefront doors with sidelights - Replace two-story storefront systems on the northside breezeway and into the courthouse courtyard - Replace two-story fixed pane windows in the courtyard and on the west wall - Products and OEMs: - Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions is specified for the 3300 Impact Storefront System and SB751 Impact Rated Curtain Wall System (or approved equals) - 3M is specified for Safety S80 film (or approved equal) as an alternate for non-impact windows and doors - All glass must be factory-tinted, impact-rated, and meet High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ), ASTM E1996/TAS 201, and ASTM E1886/TAS 203 standards - Notable Requirements: - Strict adherence to manufacturer installation requirements and compliance with wind load and energy efficiency building codes - Coordination of security termination for badge access doors - Field verification of all measurements and restoration of interior/exterior conditions post-construction - Alternate pricing required for non-impact windows and doors with safety film - Performance and payment bonds are mandatory - Detailed bid breakdowns and compliance with all permitting and regulatory requirements - Project Management: - Project duration is 200 days from Notice to Proceed - Work hours must be coordinated to minimize disruption to County operations - Place of Performance: - Carteret County Courthouse and administrative buildings at 302 Courthouse Square, Beaufort, NC

Carteret County Government is seeking competitive proposals for the replacement of select windows and storefront doors at the Carteret County Courthouse facility in Beaufort, North Carolina. The project includes replacement of 166 existing windows with fixed pane units, three existing single storefront doors with sidelights, the two-story storefront system on the northside of the breezeway, the storefront system into the Courthouse courtyard, two 2-story fixed pane windows in the courtyard, and 2-story fixed pane windows on the west wall. Contractors must comply with manufacturer installation requirements and coordinate security termination for badge access doors with the County POC. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on-site, and proposals are due by May 27, 2026.
