The City of Iqaluit, Department of Public Works and Engineering, is seeking qualified contractors to provide as-and-when boiler maintenance and inspection services for a wide range of municipal facilities. - Government Buyer: - City of Iqaluit, Department of Public Works and Engineering - Managed by the Director of Public Works - Products/Services Requested: - Comprehensive boiler and heating system maintenance, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and related support - Services include: - Annual maintenance inspections and overhauls - Preparation for boiler and pressure vessel inspections - As-needed maintenance, repairs, and emergency response - Extra work such as new installations, electrical repairs, plumbing, and ductwork modifications - Coverage for various equipment: forced-air furnaces, hot water boilers, oil-fired heaters, low-pressure boilers, unit heaters, hot water tanks, controls, thermostats, valves, air vents, switch relays, radiation fins, transformers, and related components - Notable Requirements: - Services provided on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed minimum work volume - Contractor must have qualified personnel, including certified journeypersons - Adherence to Nunavut safety and regulatory standards - Detailed reporting and documentation for all work performed - Availability for both routine and emergency service calls - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or vendors are named in the solicitation - Facilities Covered: - Multiple municipal buildings and infrastructure, including Abe Okpik Hall, Arctic Winter Games, Aquatic Centre, Arnaitok Arena, City Operations/Fire Hall, Curling Rink, Airbase Garage, Elders Qammaq, Trigram Building/Reheat, Federal Garage, Operations Center, Uqsuq Garage, Landfill Site Trailer, Fire Training Garage, Landfill Quonset Hut, Booster Stations, Reheat Stations, Lift Stations, Water Treatment Plant, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Waste Transfer Station, and several residential and administrative buildings - Contract Duration: - Three-year agreement, subject to annual budget approval and satisfactory performance
