TSA requires additional time to solicit and award a new contract for this requirement but was unable to facilitate this process in a timely manner due to multiple lapses in appropriations during Fiscal Year 2026 (i.e., 10/1/2025 11/12/2025, 1/31/2026 2/3/2026, and 2/14/2026 4/30/2026). At the end of Fiscal Year 2025, TSA was refining the requirements for the recompete and assembling the necessary documentation; however, this process was severely delayed due to staff furloughs and the resulting administrative backlog. As noted, TSA intends to award the next contract under the AbilityOne Program.
