Sole Source Access Control System Upgrade at Barksdale AFB (Paxton OEM)

This opportunity involves a sole source contract for upgrading access control systems at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. - The 2nd Contracting Squadron (2 CONS) of the Air Force Global Strike Command intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to ON DEMAND SECURITY CORPORATION. - The project covers installation of Paxton Locks access control systems, including: - Removal and replacement of 16 existing crash bars with new stainless steel crash bars - Installation of approximately 17,000 feet of CAT 6 network cabling - Installation and integration of 5 Paxton keypads with dedicated power sources - All work must ensure proper alignment, testing, and integration with existing security systems. - Paxton is the specified OEM for the access control components. - The government will consider challenges from other qualified, certified, and authorized firms, but this is currently a non-competitive, sole source action. - The place of performance is Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, at 801 Kenney Ave, Bldg 4400. - No specific period of performance or contract value is provided in the notice.

Description

The 2nd Contracting Squadron, Barksdale AFB, hereby submits an intent to award a sole source notice. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-priced contract to ON DEMAND SECURITY CORPORATION for Paxton Locks  Access Control Installation. This procurement action is being conducted in accordance with RFO 12.102, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement.

This notice does not constitute a solicitation document. Requests for such documents will not be considered. However, all information received after publication of this notice will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be evaluated to confirm or deny the decision to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. The Government will not pay for information received. Firms who desire to challenge this sole source action must submit an interest letter (email is acceptable) that demonstrates technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition. The letter must describe clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and will not be cost or time prohibitive.
