The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to procure and install a solar powered vehicular access gate for Lind Point Community Housing within Virgin Islands National Park. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Interior, National Park Service, South Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) - Virgin Islands National Park (VIIS) - Products/Services Requested: - One solar powered community gate system for housing - Gate approximately 5 feet high and 22 feet long, black aluminum with corrosion-resistant finish - Solar-powered operator with battery backup - Wireless keypad entry - 20-25 tenant access fobs - Photoelectric sensors, safety edges, vehicle detection system - Audible/visual warnings, emergency manual release, locking mechanisms, surge protection, weatherproof enclosures - Complete fabrication, delivery, installation, site preparation, foundation work, electrical wiring, system integration, testing, commissioning, and training - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with local codes, UL 325, NEC, and OSHA standards - Gate system must be suitable for coastal environment (corrosion-resistant, weatherproof) - Contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Place of Performance: - Virgin Islands National Park Lind Point Community Housing, St. John, USVI - Contracting office located in Homestead, FL - Period of Performance: - Delivery and installation required between July 1 and December 31, with completion by December 31 - Evaluation based on best value: price, technical capability, past performance, and completion time
