AOA Fence and Access Gate Realignment at Hagerstown Regional Airport

Washington County, Maryland is seeking bids for the realignment of the Airport Operations Area (AOA) fence and access gate at Hagerstown Regional Airport. - Government Buyer: - Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, Maryland, in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Hagerstown Regional Airport management - Project Scope: - Removal and installation of approximately 2,000 linear feet of 10' chain-link fence with barbed wire - Installation of 500 linear feet of fence on a concrete median barrier - Installation of a 106' (and/or 160') electric telescoping gate and a pedestrian gate - Installation of 2 gate operators and 38 bollards - Electrical and fiber optic cable work, including directional boring, trenching, and installation in conduit - Installation of electrical junction cans, handholes, racks, and relocation of a 25KV transformer - Installation of obstruction lights, CCTV cameras (Axis P37 Panoramic or approved equal), and access control devices (HID Multiclass SE RK40 or approved equal) - Removal of existing gates, supports, transformer pads, bollards, electrical racks, light poles, and pavement markings - Asphalt pavement demolition, new paving, seeding, and permanent pavement markings - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with FAA regulations, Airport Improvement Program (AIP) provisions, Buy American requirements, and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 10.79% - Bid, performance, and labor/material bonds required - Coordination with airport operations to minimize operational impacts - Project subject to inspection by Washington County, FAA, and other agencies - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs for fencing or gates; however, specified products include: - SDC GATELOK GL 263AH (electric gate lock) or approved equal - HID Multiclass SE RK40 (access control device) or approved equal - Axis P37 Panoramic Camera or approved equal - Quantities and Part Numbers: - 2,000 LF 10' chain-link fence (F-162-5.1) - 500 LF fence on median barrier (F-162-5.2) - 106' electric telescoping gate (F-162.5.3) - 1 pedestrian gate (F-162.5.4) - 2 gate operators (F-162.5.5) - 38 bollards (F-162 5.6) - Multiple line items for fiber optic and electric cable installation, directional boring, and related site work - Place of Performance: - Hagerstown Regional Airport, 18434 Showalter Road, Hagerstown, MD 21742 - Washington County Administrative Complex, 100 West Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD (contracting office)
