Description

The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service proposes to modify a current system of records titled "Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service .014--United States Securities and Access System of Records." This system holds records related to United States Securities issuances, holdings, transactions, claims, and inquiries. The modification adds a new routine use to facilitate payment of applicable savings bonds and to comply with the SECURE 2.0 Act, allowing sharing of certain savings bond information with states to locate bond owners. Comments on the modification are invited until June 10, 2026, and the changes will take effect on that date.
