The USDA Forest Service, Eastern Divide Ranger District, is seeking contractor services for herbicide treatment of Non-Native Invasive Species (NNIS) across 101 acres within the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests in Virginia and West Virginia. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Eastern Divide Ranger District (NRV Ranger District) - Contracting office: USDA-FS CSA EAST 1, Atlanta, GA - OEMs and Vendors: - Herbicide to be used is Triclopyr ester formulation (Triclopyr 4); generic products are acceptable (e.g., Alligare 4, Element 4) - Products/Services Requested: - Herbicide treatment services for 101 acres targeting NNIS such as Autumn Olive, Multiflora Rose, Tree of Heaven, Princess Tree, Amur Honeysuckle, and Japanese Barberry - Basal bark application method using backpack sprayers - Government furnishes herbicide, adjuvant, and oil carrier; contractor provides labor, equipment, and supervision - Product line item: Herbicide Treatment NNIS (part number 7540-01-152-8067), 101 acres - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must use government-furnished herbicide and follow specified application methods - Initial treatments must be completed by September 1, with follow-up by October 1, and final acceptance by November 1 - Work covers multiple recreation and wildlife areas within the national forests - Total small business set-aside under NAICS 115310 (Forestry Support Services)

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 12443926Q0071 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for NNIS Herbicide Treatments within the boundaries of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, Eastern Divide Ranger District in Botetourt and Craig counties, VA & Monroe County, WV. This treatment area consists of mature and immature timber stands as well as nearby wildlife openings.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 115310.  The small business size standard is $11.5 M.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
