The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor for a major infrastructure upgrade at the Columbia VA Health Care System in Columbia, SC. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs (VISN 7 Network Contracting Office, Columbia VA Medical Center, Wm. Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, Columbia VA Health Care System (VAHCS) Medical Center is a 216-bed facility, encompassing acute medical, surgical, psychiatric, and long-term care.  The hospital is in Columbia, South Carolina and provides primary, secondary, and some tertiary care.  Satellite outpatient clinics located in Anderson, Florence; Greenville; Orangeburg; Rock Hill; Sumter, and Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work to replace the existing site Domestic water and fire piping loop with a new system designed to meet the current VA standards and reduce service interruptions, accommodate future construction, and rectify domestic water and fire piping issues on the Columbia VAMC campus, as required by drawings and specifications.

Site work will be performed throughout the entire campus.  Interior work will be performed buildings 100 and 100A.
