Description

The USGS Columbia Environmental Research Center has a requirement for the removal and replacing the existing centrifugal pump and install an appropriately sized VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) and support controls. The removal of the existing centrifugal pump and installing the appropriately sized VFD includes, but not limited to the following:- All circuits shall be installed to the existing Local and National Electrical Code Standard.- Remove the current pump and replace with two (2) redundant inverter- duty centrifugal pumps that meet current needs and support future growth.- Remove the current motor starter and replace with a properly sized VFD and accurately sized circuit protection.- New pump(s) shall be capable of a minimum of 120 feet of head up to maximum of 200 feet of head.- New pump(s) shall be capable of flowing 200 gallons per minute of water.- The VFD shall have a bypass function.- The VFD shall have BACnet capabilities.- Install a digital flow meter with BACnet capabilities.- Install digital pressure gauges with BACnet capabilities on the suction and discharge piping.- Remove and replace the current piping to allow redundancy.- New piping shall have a bypass installed.- Pumps shall sit level and be easily accessed for maintenance/replacement.- Work will take place in the following county in Missouri: Boone.- Period of Performance is 30 days after notice to proceed is issued.- Request for Quotes (RFQ) 140G0126Q0149 will close May 29, 2025, at 10:00 am pacific standard time.- A site visit will be held on Thursday May 21, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. central time CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT.
