The USDA Forest Service, Intermountain Region, is seeking quotations for the purchase and installation of a steel hybrid flatbed utility bed on a 2026 Ford F-550 EXT Cab 4x4 Diesel for the Sawtooth National Forest in Jerome, Idaho. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, Intermountain Region, Sawtooth National Forest - Products and Services Requested: - One (1) steel hybrid flatbed utility bed, 84-inch, designed for a 2026 Ford F-550 EXT Cab 4x4 Diesel with dual rear wheels - Must include water-resistant compartments and toolboxes with weather trim seals, rain channels, adjustable tension handles, and waterproof doors/lids - Compartments: front (28" x 36" x 15"), middle (27" x 26" x 15"), long over-the-wheel (70" x 15" x 10" and 63" x 15" x 10"), behind-the-wheel (6" x 16" x 15") - Space for a 90-gallon auxiliary 2-compartment fuel tank - Weatherproof electrical wiring and lighting, dual trailer wiring outlets for gooseneck or tow-behind trailers - No used parts permitted - Installation of the flatbed utility bed on the government-provided vehicle - Towing service if vendor is located beyond 250 road miles from the Forest Service office in Jerome, Idaho - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Vendor must be within 250 road miles of Jerome, Idaho, or provide towing - Installation must be completed within 60 days of contract award or vehicle delivery - Coordination with Forest Service for installation scheduling - Small business set-aside (including EDWOSB and WOSB) - Technical capability statement and completion of required forms - No specific OEMs or part numbers are specified; open to qualified manufacturers meeting the detailed specifications

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1240LP26Q0073 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for purchase and installation of flatbed on a 2026 Ford F-550 (agency owned).  This request is for the Sawtooth National Forest in Jerome, Idaho 83338.

This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 336211.  The small business size standard is 1,000 employees.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
