Description

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone on the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon, to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from hazards associated with fireworks displays. The safety zone will be in effect on May 22, 2026, and May 30, 2026, from 8:50 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Entry into the zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Columbia River, or their designated representative. The safety zone covers all navigable waters within a 450-yard radius of the fireworks launch site located between the Hawthorne and Morrison bridges.
