Temporary Safety Zones for Hudson Tunnel Project and Public Events (No Procurement)

Description

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone in the navigable waters of the Hudson River near Pier 66 in Manhattan, New York City. This safety zone is to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from hazards related to the Hudson Tunnel Project construction activities. Entry into the zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, New York, or their designated representative. The safety zone is effective from May 8, 2026, through January 20, 2029, with enforcement starting May 1, 2026. The zone covers specific coordinates along the Hudson River and includes exceptions for certain vessels transiting the area.
