Description

The Department of Justice (DOJ), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), is submitting an information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval. This request involves revising the previously approved Firearms Transaction Record forms (ATF Form 5300.9 and 5300.9A, known as Form 4473). The form is used by federal firearms licensees to determine if a transferee may lawfully receive a firearm and to initiate a background check.
